Ridgeway are answering to market demand once again by partnering with local company Fast Engineering to bring added environmental protection measures through generator bunding.
FASTANK bunds were recently chosen to provide secondary containment units to ensure that leaks and spills are contained around temporary generators while on site.
The Bunds are manufactured in Antrim using robust impermeable welded fabrics consisting of Rip-Stop Polyester, coated with PVC and Acrylic. Rubber matting is also used to protect the inside of the bund from Generator skids and ground mats for rough terrain.
Adam Holland, General Manager at Fast Engineering, commented. “The bund acts as a robust and durable barrier to stop any spill making its way into the sub soil and on to any adjacent water courses, saving companies on fines, expensive clean-up operations and possible prosecution. FASTANKS range of bunding comes in 8 standard sizes with volumes of 250 – 4000L. The company will also manufacture to order in bespoke sizes. Bunds are often augmented with protective matting to protect from heavy plant, ground matts for rough ground and liners for ease of cleaning.
